On 29 and 30 June 2026, members of the association and the INTACS leadership team gathered for the INTACS20 Conference to celebrate the 20th anniversary of INTACS® and reflect on the achievements while shaping its future direction. The conference focused on the INTACS® Certification Scheme, reviewing two decades of success and discussing the strategic development of the international INTACS® community. Participants reflected on key milestones from the past 20 years and explored the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The main topics were future technologies and AI. The keynote speeches by Professors Stummeyer and Piwinger highlighted the current state of development, but also pointed out the opportunities and risks associated with their application. The INTACS20 Conference provided an excellent platform for professional exchange, international collaboration, and personal networking. Eberhard Hübner was representing INTACS at Vehicle Tech Week Europe in Stuttgart. The event, which took place this year in conjunction with VDA SYS, provided a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in Autonomous Vehicle Technology, Automotive Testing, and Automotive Interior. Key topics included AI-driven development and testing solutions, the growing complexity of modern vehicle systems, and the increasing demands on safety, validation, and regulatory compliance. A central theme was the transformation of development processes toward data-driven, continuous verification and validation. Although process frameworks played only a minor role throughout the exhibition, Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) was referenced in several presentations as an important foundation for ensuring quality in software-intensive vehicle development. Discussions with industry professionals also revealed growing interest in related topics such as Data Management SPICE, IT Services SPICE, and the emerging concept of AI SPICE. |

In May 2026, the INTACS® Certification Scheme celebrated its 20th anniversary. The association was founded on May 11, 2006, in Düsseldorf. Since then, the scheme has become a globally recognized standard for the qualification and certification of assessors in the context of Automotive SPICE®, ISO/IEC 330xx, and related process assessment models. Its mission has always been to improve the quality and consistency of assessments while establishing common standards for training, competence development, and certification. Today, iNTACS connects an international community of experts, assessors, trainers, and organizations, making an important contribution to process quality and capability development across the industry for two decades. |
